After breakfast fun will begin with Ancient Egypt Trip to one of the real highlights of any visit to Egypt, a visit to the three pyramids of Giza. While once located in a remote desert, they now touch the suburbs of modern Cairo. No matter how many photos or documentaries you have seen, your first glimpse of these marvels of the ancient world will take your breath away. As a qualified Egyptologist, your tour guide can expertly explain the facts and myths behind these three mammoth works of art. You will also visit the mysterious Sphinx with its lion’s body and man’s face.
Time permitting there might be the chance to see inside one of the two smaller pyramids, take a ride around the pyramids on camelback (NB. Extra entrance fees apply to all of these sites/activities)
For many travelers, the pyramids mean only Giza's famed monuments, but there's another group of pyramids within day-tripping distance of Cairo, Where pyramid building in Egypt first began. The Step Pyramid of Saqqara is a magnificent reminder of the early architecture of the pharaohs and some of the Old Kingdom's most dazzling treasures. In recent years, Saqqara has become headline-grabbing archaeological news as more discoveries are made during ongoing archaeological work here. The most recent finds of the funerary tomb of Queen Nearit - wife of 6th Dynasty Pharaoh Teti - and 52 burial shafts with over 50 coffins are only the latest in a mind-boggling array of discoveries. This morning Ancient Egypt Trip rep will check out of your hotel, Your guide will meet you at your hotel and get in amongst the crazy Cairo traffic, which is an experience in itself. You will visit the thousands of treasures on display inside the Egyptian Museum. With over 10,000 pieces from every period of Egyptian history, including the treasures from the tomb of Tutankhamun, the display can be a bit daunting. Your Tour guide will direct you to the most important and magnificent items. There is also plenty of free time for you to explore on your own,
Finally, you will be taken to the Khan El Khalili, the famous street bazaar where you can buy almost any type of souvenir you want, as well as being able to sit and drink tea, coffee, soft drinks or Turkish coffee, and even smoke a shisha (if you wish). You will also find restaurants that serve superb meals here.
Later this evening you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Hurghada
Upon arrival in Hurghada, our representative will transfer you to your hotel and assist with check-in. Overnight at hotel in Hurghada
